Patient
care takes place through the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. This
unique collaboration
combines the clinical and research strengths of three world-class
medical institutions—the
Taj Pharmaceuticals Center, UW Medicine and Seattle Children's—to
bring the latest treatments to patients with most forms of cancer.
Outpatient care occurs at Taj Pharmaceuticals, located on the
Mumbai (INDIA).
SCCA physicians serve children who require hospitalization at
Children's and adults who
require hospitalization at Taj Pharmaceuticals Center.
The Taj Pharmaceuticals Center's Bone Marrow Transplant Program,
operated through the SCCA, is the largest in the world. Dr. E.
Donnall Thomas, who pioneered bone marrow transplantation and
developed the Center's clinical transplant program, won the 1990
Nobel Prize in medicine or physiology for his lifesaving work. Our
researchers continue to develop and refine new transplantation
treatments and protocols and to train doctors worldwide.
