Each soft-gel capsule contains
Composition
Vitamin E B.P...............................................................400
mg
Indication
Vitamin E, widely recognized for its antioxidant activities,
appears to be protective against cardiovascular disease and some
forms of cancer in some individuals. It has demonstrated
immune-enhancing effects. It may be of limited benefit in some
with asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. It may be effective in
protecting against air pollution and some other toxins and may be
helpful in some neurological diseases (including Alzheimer's
disease) and in some eye disorders (particularly cataracts) and to
some individuals with diabetes and premenstrual syndrome. It may
also help protect skin from ultraviolet irradiation. Claims that
it reverses skin aging, enhances male fertility and exercise
performance are poorly supported. There is no credible evidence
that it increases sexual prowess. It may help relieve some muscle
cramps.
Description
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that works to protect cells in
the body from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are
highly reactive substances that result from normal metabolism as
well as from exposure to factors in the environment like cigarette
smoke and ultraviolet light. They cause damage to body cells by
attacking the cell's membranes, proteins and DNA and ultimately
contribute to the development of health problems such as heart
disease and cancer. Vitamin E is especially important in
protecting blood cells, the nervous system, skeletal muscle and
the retinas in the eyes from free radical.
