Indications :

Cefuroxime is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as bronchitis; gonorrhea; Lyme disease; and infections of the ears, throat, sinuses, urinary tract, and skin. Cefuroxime is in a class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

Description:

Cefuroxime is an antibiotic in a class of drugs called cephalosporins. This medicine fights bacteria in the body. Cefuroxime is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, skin infections, gonorrhea, and urinary tract infections.

Dosage : Adults: The usual adult dosage range for Cepokem is 750 mg to 1.5 grams every 8 hours, usually for 5 to 10 days.
