What is Lipomas?
Lipomas are benign tumors caused by fatty deposits. These are round or oval lumps occur under the skin and composed of fat cells. Lipomas are mostly found in subcutaneous tissues and rarely in internal organs. It may arise at any age but normally occur in adulthood and it is rare in children and infant
Solitary lipomas are common in female and multiple lipomas are common in male.

Causes of Lipomas ?
The cause of lipomas is completely not known but it may occur because of hereditary because most of the patient comes with family history of this lipomas. In some cases it may cause due to an injury on the body which may help in increasing lipomas.

Symptoms of Lipomas
They may be single or multiple. They move freely on the underlying structures, but may not be adherent to the overlying epidermis. They could occur anywhere on the body, but are usually seen on the limbs, back and shoulders.

Differential diagnosis of Lipomas
The differential diagnosis is made from other tumors of the skin; sometimes the diagnosis is clinched on histopathology. Treatment consists of surgical removal. Dercum's disease is a condition of diffuse or nodular lipomatosis of the trunk and limbs in middle-aged women.

Treatment of Lipomas
As lipomas is benign tumor it doesn’t require any treatment because some lipomas stop growing on their own but sometime if it become severe then you may require complete treatment for this disease. Following are some methods which are comes under the treatment of lipomas-

• Squeeze technique

• Liposuction
